AoE Analog Output Error fault in delta drive
AoE Analog Output Error fault in delta drive troubleshooting
Description
AoE relates to the Analog Output terminals (AFM/AO) used to send speed or current data to a remote meter or PLC. If the drive detects that the wire connected to the analog output is broken or the circuit impedance is too high (for 4-20mA output), it trips.
Causes
1. Open Loop: The wire to the remote meter is cut.
2. Impedance Mismatch: The receiving device has a resistance higher than 500 Ohms (for 4-20mA), causing the drive voltage to saturate.
3. Wrong Mode: The parameter is set to check for connection, but nothing is wired.
Solution
Verify output loop:
1. Check Continuity: Verify the wire to the remote meter.
2. Disable Check: If you don't need this protection, find the "Analog Output Error" parameter and set it to "Warn and Continue" or "Disable".
3. Resistor: If testing, place a 250 Ohm resistor across the AFM/ACM terminals to simulate a load.
