F01630 Safe Brake Test Error fault in siemens drive indicates that t he cyclic brake test (SBT) determined the brake could not hold the required torque.   Cause   1. Brake worn out (air gap too large). 2. Oil/Grease on brake disc. 3. Incorrect torque parameter for test.   Remedy   1. Inspect motor brake physically.  2. Adjust test torque parameters.  3. Replace brake.

F30027 Pre-charging DC Link Time Exceeded fault in siemens drive indicates that t he  DC link capacitors failed to charge to the required voltage within the set time.   Cause   1. Input voltage too low. 2. Pre-charge resistor/contactor defective. 3. Heavy load connected during startup.   Remedy   1. Check input voltage.  2. Check pre-charge components in the power unit.  3. Disconnect DC link load during start.

F01030 Sign-of-Life Failure (Master Control) fault in siemens drive indicates that t he internal communication between Control Unit and Power Unit is lost.   Cause   1. DRIVE-CLiQ cable disconnected or broken. 2. Heavy EMC interference affecting the cable.   Remedy   - Check DRIVE-CLiQ cables (green cables).  - Ensure they are clicked in fully.  - Check grounding.

F01042 Parameter Download Error fault in siemens drive indicates that t he p arameters could not be downloaded to the drive object during project download.   Cause   1. Connection interrupted during download. 2. Incompatible parameter values (out of range).   Remedy   - Perform "Upload to PG" first to sync, then download again.  - Check offline project consistency.

F30037 Rectifier Overtemperature fault in siemens drive indicates that t he input rectifier bridge is too hot.   Cause   1. Cooling fan failure. 2. Phase imbalance causing high ripple current.   Remedy   - Check line supply balance.  - Clean heatsink.  - Check fan operation.

F07409 Speed Controller Output Limited fault in siemens drive indicates that t he speed controller is hitting the torque/current limits constantly.   Cause   1. Motor cannot move the load. 2. P-Gain too high causing saturation.   Remedy   - Check for mechanical blocking.  - Reduce acceleration rate.  - Tune speed controller.

F08510 Send Configuration Data Invalid fault in siemens drive indicates that t he d ata length or format sent to PLC does not match the hardware configuration in the PLC.   Cause :  The "Telegram" type in the drive (p0922) does not match the GSD/Project in the PLC.   Remedy :  Match the Telegram types (e.g., Telegram 105) in both Drive and PLC HW Config.

F01340 Topology: Component Changed fault in siemens drive indicates that t he physical DRIVE-CLiQ wiring does not match the saved topology.   Cause :  A component (Motor Module/Sensor Module) was moved to a different port.   Remedy :  Correct wiring to match project OR update topology in Starter/Startdrive.

F07904 Motor Locked During Speed Search fault in siemens drive indicates that t he "flying restart" is active, the drive detected the motor is locked.   Cause: Mechanical brake still engaged. High static friction.   Remedy :  Ensure brake opens before search begins.

F01707 SOS (Safe Operating Stop) Exceeded fault in siemens drive indicates that  the motor moved more than the tolerance.   Cause   1. Control loop gains too low (drift). 2. External force moved the axis.   Remedy -  Increase position controller gain.  - Increase SOS tolerance window (p9530).

F30805 Power Unit: EPROM Checksum Error fault in siemens drive indicates that t he d ata in the Power Module's internal memory is corrupted.   Cause: Electrical noise/spikes during power up. Defective hardware.   Remedy :  Replace Power Module.

A30042 Fan Service Life Reached fault in siemens drive indicates that t he o perating hours counter for the fan has reached the limit (Warning/Alarm).   Cause :  Preventative maintenance timer.   Remedy: Replace fan and reset the operating hours counter (p0251).

F01010 Drive Type Unknown fault in siemens drive indicates that t he control Unit cannot identify the connected Power Module.   Cause :  Power Module firmware incompatible with CU firmware.   Remedy: Upgrade CU firmware. Check compatibility list.

F07930 Brake Control Error fault in siemens drive indicates that t he drive detected an error in the brake control circuit output.   Cause : 1.  Short circuit in brake cable.  2. Brake coil open circuit.   Remedy: 1.  Check brake resistance.  2. Check for short to shield.

F31110 Encoder Serial Communications fault in siemens drive indicates that t he s erial data transfer (EnDat/SSI) from encoder failed.   Cause :  1. Noise on data lines.  2. Clock speed too high for cable length.   Remedy  : - Use twisted pair shielded cable.  - Reduce clock frequency.
