AUE1 Auto-Tuning: Wiring Fault fault in delta drive
AUE1 Auto-Tuning: Wiring Fault fault in delta drive troubleshooting
Description
During auto-tuning, the drive measures motor resistance. AUE1 specifically means the drive could not detect the motor connection at all. It acts like an "Open Circuit" detection during the tuning phase.
Causes
1. Motor Disconnected: The output contactor between the drive and motor is open.
2. Loose Cable: The U, V, or W cable is not tightened at the motor terminal box.
3. Current Too Low: The motor is so small relative to the drive (e.g., 1HP motor on 100HP drive) that the measurement current is undetectable.
Solution
Physical connection check:
1. Check Contactor: If you have an output contactor, manually force it close during auto-tuning.
2. Verify Cables: Ohmmeter check U-V, V-W, W-U continuity.
3. Motor Size: Ensure the motor connected is at least 1/6th the size of the drive capacity.
