AUE3 Leakage Inductance Error fault in delta drive

AUE3 Leakage Inductance Error fault in delta drive troubleshooting

Description

This is a specific failure during the Rotational Auto-tuning process. The drive successfully measured resistance but failed to measure the motor's leakage inductance (Lm) accurately.

Causes

1. Rotor Locked: The motor shaft was physically prevented from moving during the "twitch" or rotation phase.
2. Vibration: The motor is not mounted securely, and vibrations confused the back-EMF reading.
3. Current Limit: The drive's current limit is set too low to inject enough flux to saturate the core.

Solution

Mechanical check:
1. Uncouple Load: Rotational tuning requires the motor to be free of load (no belt/gearbox).
2. Increase Current: Temporarily increase the Torque/Current limits.
3. Switch Mode: If you cannot uncouple the load, switch to "Static Auto-tuning" (Method 2), which calculates inductance without rotation.
