AUE4 Rotor/Inertia Error fault in delta drive
AUE4 Rotor/Inertia Error fault in delta drive troubleshooting
Description
AUE4 happens during the dynamic test where the drive spins the motor to determine rotor inertia and friction. If the motor takes too long to spin up or stops too quickly, this fault occurs.
Causes
1. Load Attached: The most common cause is leaving a heavy fan or flywheel attached during tuning. The drive expects a bare shaft.
2. Brake Drag: Mechanical brake is dragging.
3. Encoder Noise: If using a PG card, noise on the encoder feedback makes the inertia calculation impossible.
Solution
Remove load:
1. Disconnect Load: You must remove the load for this specific test.
2. Check Brake: Ensure the shaft spins freely by hand.
3. Skip: If you cannot remove the load, skip Rotational Tuning and enter the data manually from the datasheet, or use Static Tuning.
