CP20 Copy: Write Protect Error fault in delta drive

CP20 Copy: Write Protect Error fault in delta drive troubleshooting

Description

CP20 occurs when using the Digital Keypad to copy parameters to a drive. It indicates the target drive has its Write Protection enabled, blocking the transfer.

Causes

1. Hardware Switch: Some drives have a physical DIP switch (Set/Protect) behind the keypad.
2. Parameter Lock: The target drive has "Parameter Lock" (Pr. 00-02 = 1) enabled.
3. Password: A password is active.

Solution

Enable writing:
1. Check Switches: Inspect DIP switches for a "Lock" icon.
2. Unlock Param: Set Pr. 00-02 to 0 (Read/Write enabled) on the target drive manually before copying.
3. Clear Password: Enter 0000 or the valid code in the password parameter.
