CSt Coast Stop (Status) fault in delta drive

CSt Coast Stop (Status) fault in delta drive troubleshooting

Description

CSt is technically a status message but often interpreted as a fault because the drive refuses to restart. It appears when the stop method is set to "Coast to Stop" and the user gives a Stop command. The drive cuts power immediately and displays CSt until the motor stops spinning or the command is removed.

Causes

1. External Stop: An external terminal assigned to "Stop" or "External Fault" is being held active.
2. Logic Setting: The Stop Method parameter (00-22) is set to Coast.
3. Restart Lockout: The drive waits for the motor to stop completely before allowing a restart.

Solution

Verify command state:
1. Check Inputs: Ensure no external Stop button is stuck.
2. Change Mode: If you want the drive to control the deceleration (ramp down), change the Stop Method to "Ramp to Stop".
3. Wait: If coasting, wait for the display to return to frequency (Hz) before restarting.
