E-07 Option Slot B Error fault in Toshiba drive

E-07 Option Slot B Error fault in Toshiba drive

Description E-07 is the counterpart to E-06, indicating a hardware or communication failure specifically in **Option Slot B** (Slot 2). This allows a technician to pinpoint exactly which accessory is causing the trip without guessing. Causes
1. Communication Crash: A Profibus or DeviceNet card in Slot B has crashed due to network flooding.
2. Power Draw: The card in Slot B is drawing more current from the drive's internal 5V bus than the slot supports (rare, but possible with custom cards).
3. Firmware Mismatch: The drive firmware is too old to recognize the newer card model inserted in Slot B. Solution Isolate the issue. Power down and remove the card from Slot B. Power up. The drive should run (or give a configuration error that the card is missing, which confirms the drive CPU is alive).

Check the firmware version of the drive (Parameter F700 series). Compare it with the requirements in the Option Card manual. You may need to flash the drive CPU to a newer version to support modern Ethernet/IP cards.

Check for grounding. Network cards in Slot B are susceptible to noise. Ensure the card's faceplate is grounded to the drive chassis.
