Err 21.0 Encoder communication disconnect fault in panasonic drive

Cause: The drive cannot see the encoder. Wire break, loose connector, or no power to encoder.

Remedy:

• Verify the encoder cable is plugged into CN X6 securely.
• Check for broken wires in the cable, especially in moving cable tracks.
• Measure 5VDC power supply at the encoder end of the cable.
• Check if the cable shield is grounded to the connector shell (FG).
