OPE Operation/Parameter Error fault in delta drive

OPE Operation/Parameter Error fault in delta drive troubleshooting

Description

OPE is a logic conflict code. It tells the user: "You set two parameters that contradict each other." The drive refuses to run because the settings are impossible to execute simultaneously.

Causes

1. Frequency Limits: You set "Max Frequency" (01-00) lower than "Min Frequency" (01-08).
2. V/F Curve: The voltage settings for the V/F curve are non-linear or illogical (e.g., Mid-point voltage higher than Max voltage).
3. Current Rating: You entered a motor rated current that is larger than the drive's rated current.
4. Mode Conflict: Enabling "PID Mode" while also enabling "Torque Control Mode" (which are mutually exclusive).

Solution

Review settings:
1. Check Code: Usually, the drive displays an extension (e.g., OPE3, OPE6) which points to the specific parameter group error.
2. Factory Reset: If you are lost in the settings, perform a parameter reset (00-02 = 9) and start over.
3. Logic Check: Ensure logic flows linearly (Max Freq > Base Freq > Min Freq).
