OPE1 HP/kW Rating Mismatch fault in delta drive
OPE1 HP/kW Rating Mismatch fault in delta drive troubleshooting
Description
OPE1 prevents the drive from operating a motor that is dangerously incompatible with the drive's power rating. While OPE6 covers current limits, OPE1 specifically looks at the kW/HP setting in the parameters versus the drive's firmware hard-limit.
Causes
1. Control Board Swap: You took a control board from a 2HP drive and placed it onto a 20HP power board. The firmware detects the size mismatch.
2. Invalid Setting: You tried to set the Motor Power (Pr. 01-xx or 05-xx) to a value that is larger than the drive's capacity.
3. Memory Corruption: The drive's internal identity register is corrupted.
Solution
Match the ratings:
1. Verify Motor Data: Ensure the motor kW entered is within the allowed range (usually 25% to 100% of drive rating).
2. Reset Identity: If you swapped boards, you may need to perform a specific "Power Board ID Reset" (often in Group 00), then power cycle.
3. Update Firmware: If the motor is standard but the drive rejects it, the firmware might need an update.
