OPE3 V/F Curve Setting Error fault in delta drive

OPE3 V/F Curve Setting Error fault in delta drive troubleshooting

Description

OPE3 is a specific "Operation Error" regarding the Voltage/Frequency curve settings. The drive logic requires that the V/F points are progressive. You cannot set the Mid-Point Frequency higher than the Max Frequency.

Causes

1. Illogical Curve: Setting "Mid-Point Voltage" higher than "Max Voltage".
2. Frequency Overlap: Setting "Min Frequency" higher than "Mid-Point Frequency".
3. Base Frequency: Setting Base Frequency (motor rated Hz) higher than Max Frequency.

Solution

Correct the curve:
1. Rule of Thumb: Fmax > Fbase > Fmid > Fmin.
2. Check Voltage: Vmax >= Vmid >= Vmin.
3. Reset V/F: Set the V/F curve selection parameter to "0" or "1" (Standard Torque) to reset custom curve settings to defaults.
