OPE5 V/F Curve Over-Voltage fault in delta drive
OPE5 V/F Curve Over-Voltage fault in delta drive troubleshooting
Description
OPE5 is a specific V/F error. It triggers if the "Max Output Voltage" parameter (Pr. 01-02) is set higher than the drive's hardware class allows (e.g., trying to set 480V output on a 230V drive).
Causes
1. Wrong Drive Class: You have a 230V drive but want to run a 460V motor.
2. Parameter Entry: You entered "400.0" volts into a drive rated for max 240V.
3. AVR Setting: Conflicts with Automatic Voltage Regulation settings.
Solution
Check ratings:
1. Check Nameplate: Verify the drive voltage class (230V vs 460V).
2. Lower Voltage: Reduce Pr. 01-02 to match the drive's input voltage.
3. Swap Drive: You cannot output 460V from a 230V drive; you must replace the hardware.
