OPE6 MA Limit / Power Mismatch fault in delta drive
OPE6 MA Limit / Power Mismatch fault in delta drive troubleshooting
Description
OPE6 triggers when the user enters a "Motor Rated Current" that is outside the allowable range of the drive. The drive usually allows motors between 25% and 120% of the drive's rated capacity.
Causes
1. Tiny Motor: Trying to run a 0.5HP motor on a 10HP drive. The drive cannot effectively protect such a small motor.
2. Oversized Motor: Entering a current value that is larger than the drive's rated output.
3. Typo: Entering 40.0 Amps instead of 4.0 Amps.
Solution
Match hardware:
1. Check Nameplate: Verify the parameter 05-01 (Motor Full Load Amps).
2. Swap Drive: If testing a tiny motor, use a smaller drive.
3. Reset: Factory reset the drive if you moved it from a large motor to a small one and old settings persist.
