P-Err Parameter Write Error fault in Toshiba drive

P-Err Parameter Write Error fault in Toshiba drive

Description P-Err appears when you try to change a parameter setting but the drive refuses to accept it. This is an operational error message rather than a shutdown fault. Causes
1. Running: Most critical parameters (like Motor Volts, Max Hz, Input Logic) cannot be changed while the motor is spinning.
2. Password Lock: A 4-digit password has been set (Parameter F700), locking the drive in "Read Only" mode.
3. Terminal Command: A digital input assigned to "Parameter Edit Disable" is active.
4. Incompatible Value: Trying to set Lower Limit > Upper Limit. Solution Stop the drive. The display must show "0.0" or "OFF" before changing engine parameters.

If the drive is password protected, you must enter the correct code in F700 to unlock it. If you lost the password, there is no master backdoor; you may need to clear the EEPROM (which might also be blocked).

Check for digital inputs. If a switch labeled "Keypad Lock" is on, flip it off.
