Pcod / PASS Password Locked fault in delta drive
Pcod / PASS Password Locked fault in delta drive troubleshooting
Description
Pcod is not a run-fault but an access fault. It appears when the user tries to modify a parameter, but the system password protection is active. It prevents unauthorized changes.
Causes
1. User Lock: A technician previously entered a password in the Password Parameter (00-08 or similar) to lock the drive.
2. PLC Lock: A PLC connected via Modbus wrote a lock command to the drive.
Solution
Unlock procedure:
1. Enter Password: Go to the Password parameter and enter the correct code.
2. Decoding: If the password is lost, you usually have to attempt a "code break" (often 9999 or 0000) or contact the OEM. Some drives require a factory reset to clear the password, which wipes all data.
