PGL PG Wire Break (Hardware) fault in delta drive
PGL PG Wire Break (Hardware) fault in delta drive troubleshooting
Description
While PGF is a deviation error (logic), PGL is a hardware detection. It signifies the PG card detects 0V on the power line or a complete loss of A/B channel differential voltage, implying the cable is physically unplugged.
Causes
1. Unplugged: Encoder cable is disconnected.
2. Power Loss: The 5V or 12V power supply to the encoder is shorted or dead.
3. Cut Cable: The cable was severed.
Solution
Restore connection:
1. Check Voltage: Measure for 5V/12V at the encoder plug.
2. Cable Continuity: Ohm out the A, A/, B, B/ wires.
3. Replace Cable: Encoder cables are prone to breaking in drag chains.
