PId PID Output Loss fault in delta drive

PId PID Output Loss fault in delta drive troubleshooting

Description

Similar to AfE but often specific to the logic state. PId fault usually indicates that the PID output calculation has saturated or the sleep/wake logic is confused due to signal loss. It acts as a safety stop to prevent the drive from running at max speed indefinitely when control is lost.

Causes

1. Feedback < 4mA: The most common cause is the feedback sensor dropping below the minimum signal level.
2. Sleep Mode Failure: The drive attempted to go to sleep but pressure dropped immediately, causing rapid cycling.
3. Broken Pipe: System cannot reach setpoint.

Solution

System integrity check:
1. Verify Signal: Fix the feedback sensor connection.
2. Check Setpoint: Ensure the target pressure/flow is physically achievable by the pump.
3. Parameter Check: Look at Group 08 (PID) parameters. Check "PID Loss Level" and "PID Loss Delay". If the system is naturally slow, increase the delay.
