SE02 Keypad Communication Loss fault in delta drive troubleshooting

Description

SE02 indicates that the digital keypad (the display unit) has lost communication with the main drive control board. This is common on drives where the keypad is detachable and connected via an RJ45 extension cable.

Causes

1. Loose Cable: The RJ45 extension cable is unplugged or the clip is broken.
2. Interference: The keypad cable is run alongside high-voltage motor power cables, inducing noise.
3. Bad Keypad: The keypad chip is damaged.

Solution

Physical check:
1. Reseat Cable: Unplug and replug the keypad cable at both ends.
2. Isolate: Move the keypad cable away from power wires. Use a shielded ethernet cable.
3. Swap: Try a different keypad from another Delta drive to see if the error follows the keypad or the drive.
