SLF2 Slot 2 Card Fault fault in delta drive
SLF2 Slot 2 Card Fault fault in delta drive troubleshooting
Description
Similar to SLF1, SLF2 indicates a failure in the card installed in Slot 2. In many Delta drives (like C2000), Slot 2 is often used for I/O expansion cards (Extra Relay outputs or Digital Inputs).
Causes
1. Installation: Card inserted crookedly.
2. Short Circuit: A short on the external wiring connected to the I/O card (e.g., shorting a Relay Output to ground) damaged the card electronics.
3. Drive Slot Failure: The pin header on the drive mainboard is damaged.
Solution
Swap and test:
1. Wiring Check: Disconnect all wires from the expansion card terminals. Restart drive. If SLF2 clears, the issue is external wiring.
2. Card Swap: Swap the Slot 2 card with Slot 1 (if they are compatible types). If the fault moves to SLF1, the card is dead.
3. Replace: Replace the I/O extension card.
