A7971 alarm in Siemens V70 Drive indicates Angular commutation offset determination is activated. This means the drive is scheduled to automatically determine the encoder's electrical angle during the next power-on cycle. Cause: The automatic determination of the angular commutation offset (encoder adjustment) is activated. The automatic determination is carried out at the next power-on command.

Remedy: The alarm automatically disappears after determination.
