F0051 fault in WEG CFW500 Drive indicates IGBTs Overtemperature. This means the internal power transistors have exceeded their safe thermal limits and the drive has tripped to prevent hardware damage. 

Cause:

  • High ambient temperature around the inverter (> 50 °C (> 122 °F)) and high output current.
  • Blocked or defective cooling fan.
  • Heatsink is dirty, preventing proper cooling airflow.


Remedy:

Ensure ambient room temperature is within limits. Clean heatsink fins and verify that the cooling fan is operating correctly.
